JC Wagons posts 45.20, makes league history for wrong reasons.

WEEK IN REVIEW

Let's start where the dumpster fire burned hottest: JC Wagons put up 45.20 points in Week 6 — the new season low, the new league low, and honestly a number that should trigger a welfare check. Justin Jefferson scored 0.00. Chase Brown scored 0.00. Will Reichard, your kicker, scored 0.00. Three goose eggs in a starting lineup isn't bad luck, it's a cry for help. Lil' NoVot, who came into this week at 2-4 and starving for relevance, feasted on this corpse to the tune of 110.70–45.20 — a 65.50-point blowout that is, per the official records, the biggest margin of the season. Lil' NoVot's Matthew Golden dropped 22.40 and the Chiefs D chipped in 16.00 while JC Wagons was out here fielding a bye-week team in a non-bye week. Truly historic stuff.

The rest of the week reshuffled the top of the standings in ways nobody predicted. WASTEWATER WINNERS, who were sitting pretty at 4-1 after a 185.30-point explosion last week and looked like a legitimate title contender, just got absolutely humbled by Team Carter 110.20–95.00. Patrick Mahomes went for 11.40. Bijan Robinson mustered 7.30. The 185.30-point freight train that was going to steamroll this league? It hit 95 flat, fell 22% below league average, and handed Team Carter their third straight win. Meanwhile, Milwaukee Mavericks bounced back from their Week 5 identity crisis with a 113.40–92.30 win over Remember The Tight Ends, who are now on a three-game losing streak despite having the second-most points in the league all season. Derrick Henry for 6.00, Rhamondre Stevenson for 3.60, and the Jaguars D for 2.00 — that's a tight end team that forgot how to score, not just how to use tight ends. Meanwhile New Number, Who Dis? marched to 5-1 with a 156.80 performance, Trevor Lawrence somehow going for 36.30 in a world where Trevor Lawrence exists, and the standings are now a two-team traffic jam at 5-1 with New Number and Milwaukee separating themselves from the 4-2 pack.

Week 7 looms with the playoff picture tightening dangerously. Three teams sit at 4-2 — WASTEWATER WINNERS, Novotny Bombers, and Team Carter — and any of them losing next week while the others win creates a brutal separation. Remember The Tight Ends is 3-3 and hemorrhaging wins despite a roster that should be winning. JC Wagons needs to figure out if they have a fantasy team or a bye-week simulator. And Unchecked Aggression is 0-6 — someone light a candle.

MATCHUP RECAPS

Novotny Bombers def. Lisbon Lushes, 115.80–105.10

Drake Maye didn't go nuclear this week — he went for 29.80, which is still good but a far cry from the 47.30 that made everyone's eyebrows disappear last week — and the Novotny Bombers still found a way to extend their win streak to four games. DK Metcalf added 20.30 and Jakobi Meyers chipped in 13.30 to do the heavy lifting, but the Bombers left 49.70 points on the bench, which is the kind of bench management that gives coordinators ulcers. Lisbon Lushes got 23.90 from Isaiah Likely, which was the right call, but A.J. Brown posted 5.70 and Emanuel Wilson contributed 5.20 in a lineup that needed more and got less. There are 33.60 points rotting on Lisbon's bench too — this is a league-wide disease. Lisbon falls to 3-3 on a one-game losing streak and is rapidly watching the playoff window shrink. Novotny Bombers at 4-2 with four straight wins is no longer a feel-good story — it's a legitimate threat.

New Number, Who Dis? def. Rockies REVENGE, 156.80–142.20

Here's the most disrespectful thing that happened this week: Rockies REVENGE put up their season-high 142.20 points — Michael Penix Jr. going for 30.10, Jonathan Taylor dropping 22.10, Carnell Tate delivering 19.00 — and still lost. They lost by 14.60 points to a team that just does this every single week. New Number, Who Dis? is averaging 147.22 points per game and at this point it feels less like a fantasy team and more like a tax on everyone else's good weeks. Trevor Lawrence threw for 36.30, Kenneth Walker III went for 27.90, James Cook added 24.30, and the Packers D chipped in 11.00 while Rockies REVENGE played the best game of their season and got a participation ribbon. Rockies REVENGE improves their scoring output dramatically and falls to 1-5 — which is the kind of existential cruelty this sport specializes in. New Number, Who Dis? is 5-1 with the highest season total in the league at 883.30 points and at this point is just lapping people.

Milwaukee Mavericks def. Remember The Tight Ends, 113.40–92.30

Remember The Tight Ends is on a three-game losing streak. They have 833.20 total points on the season — second-highest in the league. They are 3-3. Let that marinate. This week, they started Derrick Henry for 6.00, Rhamondre Stevenson for 3.60, and the Jaguars D for 2.00, while leaving 18.50 points on the bench — which is, relative to their peers, at least not catastrophic, but when your floor is 92.30 points you cannot afford to leave anything. Jaxon Smith-Njigba did his part with 25.40 and Bryce Young somehow contributed 23.80, but the running backs and defense were a collective disaster. Milwaukee rebounded from their Week 5 identity crisis with Kirk Cousins going for 23.40 and Chuba Hubbard adding 19.10, and Tetairoa McMillan — who was invisible last week — showed up for 14.60. Not the 45.20-point cheat code version, but at least he's in the building. Milwaukee is 5-1 and back to looking like contenders.

Team Carter def. WASTEWATER WINNERS, 110.20–95.00

Last week's prediction: WASTEWATER WINNERS' 185.30-point explosion positioned them as legitimate title contenders. This week's result: 95.00 points, 22% below league average, and a 15.20-point loss to Team Carter that felt much worse than the margin suggests. Bijan Robinson, your franchise running back, went for 7.30. Patrick Mahomes, the greatest quarterback in NFL history, went for 11.40. Davante Adams contributed 6.90. The 185.30-point explosion now looks less like a title trajectory and more like a last meal. Team Carter won with D'Andre Swift's 23.00 and Matthew Stafford's 20.80 — a workmanlike performance from a team that is quietly 4-2 on a three-game win streak. WASTEWATER left 21.70 points on the bench, which is nothing by this league's standards, meaning they just genuinely had a bad week. They fall to 4-2 and the "three-team 4-1 logjam" prediction is now resolved: it's a two-team race at the top, and WASTEWATER is in the chasing pack.

Here comes the PAIN! def. Unchecked Aggression, 121.20–86.10

Christian McCaffrey went for 31.70. Bhayshul Tuten added 24.70. Josh Allen contributed 22.30. Here comes the PAIN! is winning again and they're doing it with actual stars this time instead of vibes and bad bench decisions. The concern is still real though: Mark Andrews posted 1.40, MarShawn Lloyd went for 1.00, and Brandon Aubrey — your kicker — kicked in 1.00 point, which means your specialist tied your starting tight end. 49.80 points left on the bench remains the recurring nightmare. But they beat who they beat. Unchecked Aggression is 0-6 — six losses, an 86.10-point performance, and David Montgomery is listed OUT while scoring 0.00, while Malik Nabers put up 28.50 and had essentially nobody competent around him. Unchecked Aggression's season high is 120.50 points. Their average is 91.00. At 0-6, the math doesn't lie and neither does the misery.

Lil' NoVot def. JC Wagons, 110.70–45.20 💥 BLOWOUT

Forty. Five. Point. Two. JC Wagons scored 45.20 points in Week 6 — the season low, the league low, a number so bad it deserves to be framed and hung on the wall as a cautionary tale. Justin Jefferson: 0.00. Chase Brown: 0.00. Will Reichard: 0.00. That's your WR1, a running back, and your kicker combining for nothing. Brock Purdy held the fort with 19.20 but he was essentially playing 9v11. JC Wagons now has a season low of 45.20 and a high of 137.70, which is the widest variance in the league and the statistical signature of a team held together with tape and prayers. Lil' NoVot, desperate for wins at 1-4 entering the week, gladly accepted this gift — Matthew Golden's 22.40, the Chiefs D's 16.00, and Javonte Williams' 13.00 more than did the job. Lil' NoVot moves to 2-4 and lives to fight another week. JC Wagons falls to 2-4 and needs to figure out if they actually have a team or just a very optimistic roster page.

POWER RANKINGS

  1. New Number, Who Dis? (ESPNFAN3068833014, 5-1) — 147.22 average, 883.30 total points, and they haven't had a single bad week. Legitimate fear.
  2. Milwaukee Mavericks (Milwaukee Mavericks, 5-1) — Bounced back clean after Week 5 disaster. Two-loss record masks how dangerous this team remains.
  3. WASTEWATER WINNERS (WASTEWATER WINNERS, 4-2) — 849.20 season total says they're elite; 95-point faceplant says the floor is terrifyingly low. Contender with an asterisk.
  4. Novotny Bombers (Novotny Bombers, 4-2) — Four-game win streak after 0-2 start. Drake Maye doesn't need to go nuclear when the roster works together.
  5. Team Carter (Team Carter, 4-2) — Three straight wins, 739.20 total points. Quietly the most consistent 4-win team in the league right now.
  6. Remember The Tight Ends (Remember The Tight Ends, 3-3) — 833.20 total points and a three-game losing streak. The roster is there; the results aren't. Ticking time bomb pointed inward.
  7. Lisbon Lushes (Lisbon Lushes, 3-3) — Sliding back after back-to-back wins. Needs A.J. Brown to remember he's A.J. Brown.
  8. Here comes the PAIN! (Here comes the PAIN!, 3-3) — McCaffrey and Allen are real, the 49.80 bench points are also real. Winning ugly but winning.
  9. Lil' NoVot (Lil' NoVot, 2-4) — Season's biggest blowout win rescues them from the basement. Still 2-4 with a long road back.
  10. JC Wagons (JC Wagons, 2-4) — 45.20 points. Three zeros. Nothing else needs to be said about where this team stands right now.
  11. Rockies REVENGE (Rockies REVENGE, 1-5) — Put up their season high and still lost. The schedule and the standings are both cruel.
  12. Unchecked Aggression (Unchecked Aggression, 0-6) — Zero wins, 91.00 average, David Montgomery listed out. The season is over in every meaningful sense.

LOOKING AHEAD

  • ›

🏆 Marquee Matchup: New Number, Who Dis? vs. Milwaukee Mavericks is the inevitable 5-1 vs. 5-1 collision that will decide sole possession of first place — whoever loses this one drops into the 4-2 cluster and the pressure cranks up immediately.

  • ›

🔥 Streak Watch: Novotny Bombers carry a four-game win streak into Week 7 and have quietly become one of the hottest teams in the league. A fifth straight win from an 0-2 hole would be the most remarkable run of the season. Drake Maye doesn't need to be superhuman — but it helps.

  • ›

⚠️ Must-Win: Remember The Tight Ends cannot afford a fourth straight loss. With 833.20 total points and a 3-3 record, they are the most stat-padded underachiever in the league — but the wins are what buy playoff berths, not points totals. Another loss and the "dangerous roster" narrative becomes the "wasted talent" narrative.

  • ›

🔄 Revenge Game: WASTEWATER WINNERS was dropped by Team Carter this week after their 185.30-point showcase. Their next opponent gets a team that was publicly embarrassed and has everything to prove — that's a bad draw for whoever's on the schedule.

  • ›

📊 League Trend: The bench management crisis is officially the league's defining storyline. Novotny Bombers left 49.70 points unused. Here comes the PAIN! left 49.80 unused. Team Carter had 43.50 rotting in reserve. Across the league this week, teams left staggering points on the bench while games were decided by fewer than 20 points. At some point, start/sit decisions will separate playoff teams from the rest — and right now, nobody in this league is particularly good at it.
