I've been in the same fantasy league with my college buddies for going on 15 years now. The football is the excuse — what actually keeps us coming back every year is the camaraderie, the running bits, the extracurricular chaos around the league itself. Somewhere in there I started writing a weekly recap myself: full personality, a made-up on-air energy, eventually a recorded radio show two of our guys hosted that people genuinely looked forward to on Tuesday mornings. It turned into a bigger part of the season than the standings ever were. Guys who'd just lost by 40 were still checking in to hear how it got covered.

A lot of leagues that have been running for years are looking for exactly that — some way to spice things up beyond the standings. Not every league has someone willing to stay up writing a recap with real character every Tuesday. So I built the version of that, for anyone.

The product is straightforward. Enter your Sleeper league ID, tell us a little about your managers (nicknames, rivalries, who talks the most trash), and we generate a full weekly recap with the personality your league actually deserves — from mild commentary to full send roasting. Activate the season and it lands in everyone's inbox automatically, every Tuesday, for less than a round of beers for the whole league.

Building something other people actually use has been a genuinely uncomfortable stretch for me — this is the first piece of software I've shipped beyond my own league. It's also gotten me back into building things, which I'd missed. The oldest advice in the book is still the best one: make something you actually want, and there's a decent chance other people want it too. Powered by Claude AI.
