HEADLINE

Spencer drops 178 points in Week 1 and the league is already cooked.

WEEK IN REVIEW

Let's get one thing straight right out of the gate: Spencer (The Trash Man) dropped 178.52 points in Week 1. Scott's nephew. The baby of the group. The kid who eats like a bird apparently feeds his roster like a king. That's 49% above the league average of 119.53, a 67.46-point demolition of Spru, and the highest single score in league history this season. Chris Olave went for 31.20, Zay Flowers added 29.00, Amon-Ra St. Brown chipped in 28.70, and somehow Dalton Kincaid at TE put up 21.00. This wasn't a fantasy football score — this was a war crime. And the victim? Spru, who only left 4.00 points on his bench, meaning he played pretty much everything he had and still got lapped. There was no escape. You can't step over the line on this one, Spru. The ball is already in the water.

The other headline nobody's talking about enough: Doug (The Seaward) took down Archer (Dangerous Nights Crew), the man who has won this league four times. That's the biggest upset of the week by narrative if not by margin. Archer's Derrick Henry went nuclear — 38.30 points — and it still wasn't enough because Doug's Trevor Lawrence posted 34.10 and Breece Hall added 22.80 to back him up. Four-time champion. Beaten by Doug. The man who won't get on a plane. Meanwhile, Matt "Double Buckets" (Fonze Bot 9000) made his league debut count, putting up 151.72 to edge Keath (Dozzy Pig) by 15.96 — and Keath had Josh Allen dropping 42.66 points and still lost. Let that sink in. The new guy ran the AI draft, ran the AI lineup, and is currently laughing at all of you.

As we head into Week 2, every team is either protecting an unbeaten record or trying to avoid the 0-2 hole that statistically ends most playoff hopes. The losers of Week 1 are already in must-not-lose territory. Kyle (The Hodge) scraped the bottom of the league at 89.10 points, and Keath's handler is going to need a serious intervention. More on that shortly.

MATCHUP RECAPS

The Trash Man (Spencer) def. Spru's Crew (Spru), 178.52–111.06

💥 BLOWOUT — 67.46-point margin

Spencer was 49% above the league average this week, which is not a typo. Six of his starters scored 18+ points, including Chris Olave (31.20), Amon-Ra St. Brown (28.70), and Zay Flowers (29.00) — three wide receivers all clearing 28 on the same night. Spru's Caleb Williams was legitimately impressive at 41.26 points, but when your opponent's third-best player is scoring more than your RB1 and WR1 combined, the math just doesn't work. To Spru's credit, he only left 4.00 points on the bench, meaning he played this one correctly and still got eviscerated. Spencer begins the season with the highest score in the league, a 1-0 record, and whatever the opposite of humble energy looks like. Week 2 for Spru is quietly a must-win.

The Seaward (Doug) def. Dangerous Nights Crew (Archer), 124.60–103.76

🚨 UPSET

Archer — four-time champion, perennial contender, competitive ginger who slams beers like a sloth — lost to Doug, a man whose most notable personality trait is refusing to board aircraft. Derrick Henry put up a historic 38.30 for Archer, and Joe Burrow added 16.16, and it still wasn't enough because Doug's lineup had depth across the board: Trevor Lawrence (34.10), Breece Hall (22.80), and Parker Washington (19.30) quietly built a 124.60 that Archer couldn't match. The real gut-punch? Archer left 29.40 on his bench and started Isaiah Likely (0.00) and Marvin Harrison (0.00). Two goose eggs in your starting lineup is a coaching problem, not a roster problem. Doug wins ugly, starts 1-0, and probably still won't fly to celebrate.

Fonze Bot 9000 (Matt, "double buckets") def. Dozzy Pig (Keath), 151.72–135.76

The new guy walks into the league, gets AI approval on every lineup decision, and immediately beats the guy who does everything at 110% on draft day. Matt's Jahmyr Gibbs (36.60) and David Montgomery (28.90) combined for 65.50 points out of the backfield — a dual-RB performance that carried the week. Keath, meanwhile, had Josh Allen at 42.66 points — the second-highest individual player score of the week — and still lost by nearly 16. The rest of Keath's lineup simply didn't show up: Kyle Pitts went for 0.00, Davante Adams gave a sad 5.60, and two roster spots were literally left empty (two FA slots, 0.00 pts each). You had Josh Allen going nuclear, Keath. Forty-two points from one player. And you still lost. Mustard on the wound. Kyle, as Keath's handler, this is your fault too.

JetSweep (Rich) def. The Hodge (Kyle), 101.16–89.10

This was the closest game of the week at a 12.06-point margin, which sounds competitive until you realize both teams scored well below the league average of 119.53. Rich won ugly: Lamar Jackson dropped 29.96 and the Pittsburgh DEF added a surprising 22.00, and that was basically the whole team. Saquon Barkley went for 6.40, CeeDee Lamb and Terry McLaurin each posted 0.00, and Rich still left 35.70 points on his bench. Kyle, Grandma's other favorite, scraped through on the other side with Jaxon Smith-Njigba's 29.20 and Bucky Irving's 20.30, but Dak Prescott (0.00), George Pickens (0.00), and Colston Loveland (0.00) left three starting slots completely dead. Kyle also left 48.40 points on the bench — the most unused points in the league this week. The lowest handicap in the group and somehow the worst lineup decisions. Rich takes the W, but neither team is inspiring confidence heading into Week 2.

MyNabersTouchedMyPenix (Scott) def. She Bledsoe Im Good (Vic), 121.50–78.12

💥 BLOWOUT — 43.38-point margin

Vic — the better Gutekunst brother, four-time champion, absolute destroyer in drinking games — just got eviscerated by his own sibling. Scott, the man who doesn't know how babies are made despite having seven of them, put up 121.50 behind Jalen Coker's absurd 36.80 and Bijan Robinson's 31.30. Meanwhile, Vic's lineup was a catastrophe: Jayden Daniels gave 3.32 points, Ja'Marr Chase put up 3.20, Rashee Rice threw up a 0.00, and Vic left 59.70 points on his bench — the most in the entire league. Fifty-nine. Seventy. On the bench. Vic's week was 35% below the league average. The man who dominates drinking games apparently forgot to check who was actually playing in Week 1. Scott wins despite breaking all his fingers setting the lineup, and Vic is staring at an 0-1 hole against a guy who shouldn't be able to find the waiver wire.

POWER RANKINGS

  1. The Trash Man (Spencer, 1-0) — Posted a 178.52 that no one in this league is equipped to answer. Scary depth, scarier ceiling. Baby of the group, top of the standings.

  2. Fonze Bot 9000 (Matt "Double Buckets", 1-0) — 151.72 in his debut, beat a guy with Josh Allen going bonkers. The AI is not a gimmick. This is a threat.

  3. Dozzy Pig (Keath, 0-1) — Lost with 135.76 points and a 42.66-point QB. Roster is loaded. Schedule was just bad. Keath does everything at 110% except pick up a TE.

  4. The Seaward (Doug, 1-0) — Took down a four-time champion in Week 1 without panicking. Quietly well-constructed roster. Still won't fly anywhere to celebrate.

  5. MyNabersTouchedMyPenix (Scott, 1-0) — 121.50 beats your brother by 43 points, you take the win. Jalen Coker at 36.80 from flex is either genius or luck. Probably luck.

  6. Dangerous Nights Crew (Archer, 0-1) — Four championships, a 38-point Derrick Henry, and still took an L. Two zeroes in the starting lineup is the only story here. Won't last.

  7. JetSweep (Rich, 1-0) — Grandma's favorite squeaked by on Lamar and a defense. Left 35.70 on the bench. Winning is winning, but this offense needs to wake up.

  8. Spru's Crew (Spru, 0-1) — Played a near-perfect lineup, left 4.00 on the bench, and still lost by 67. Sometimes the schedule just kills you. Step back in bounds, Spru.

  9. The Hodge (Kyle, 0-1) — 48.40 points on the bench. Three starting zeroes. Lowest handicap in the group, highest bench points not playing. Keath needs a new handler.

  10. She Bledsoe Im Good (Vic, 0-1) — 78.12 points. 59.70 on the bench. Ja'Marr Chase and Jayden Daniels both embarrassed you. The better Gutekunst brother is currently last. Take a drink, Vic.

LOOKING AHEAD

  • ›

🎯 Marquee Matchup: Keep an eye on any matchup involving Spencer (The Trash Man) — at 178.52 points, he's the measuring stick right now and whoever draws him next is already sweating.

  • ›

🔥 Streak Watch: Both Spencer and Matt (Fonze Bot 9000) enter Week 2 at 1-0 with the two highest scores in the league. One of them is going to keep building something real — or the schedule will humble them fast.

  • ›

🚨 Must-Win: Vic (She Bledsoe Im Good) at 0-1 with 78.12 points and 59.70 left on his bench cannot afford another week of mismanagement. Four championships means nothing at 0-2. Check the injury report, Vic. Or at minimum, check if your players are actually playing.

  • ›

💀 Revenge Game: Archer (Dangerous Nights Crew) enters Week 2 having lost to Doug despite Derrick Henry going for 38.30. Four-time champion, competitive ginger, historically dangerous — expect him to come back swinging and fix those starting lineup zeroes immediately.

  • ›

📉 League Trend: Nine of the ten teams left points on the bench in Week 1, with a combined 343.92 points sitting unused across all rosters. The biggest gains in Week 2 won't come from the waiver wire — they'll come from managers actually starting the right players. Vic (59.70 on bench), Kyle (48.40), and Scott (50.42) are the three biggest offenders. Fix the lineup, or the chaos agent will find you.
