HEADLINE
Matt goes 5-0 while Andrew's zero-point receivers bury him alive.
WEEK IN REVIEW
Let's start with the man who simply refuses to lose. Matt dropped 176.64 points on Darius this week — his second highest score of the season — and is now a perfect 5-0 with a 166.74 points-per-game average that is making everyone else look like they're playing a different sport. Last week we said something had to give when Matt finally faced Megan. It did. It was Megan. Matt didn't even need her to show up — he just kept doing what he does. The prediction has been resolved: the collision happened, Matt won, and the undefeated record stands. At this point the $500 prize has a Matt-shaped dent in it.
The upset of the week belongs to Hannah, who at 1-4 had absolutely no business beating Andrew — and yet, 113.16–101.40, there it is. Andrew started DJ Moore and Roman Wilson, both of whom scored a combined 0.00 points. Zero. Goose egg. Between the two of them. For context, Andrew's kicker Harrison Mevis scored 2.00 points and still outproduced two of his wide receivers combined. Andrew has a 141.47 points-per-game average and is 2-3. The gap between his talent and his record is no longer a narrative — it's a math problem with a rapidly approaching deadline. Meanwhile, Hannah added Braelon Allen off waivers, started him for 18.60 points, and he personally outscored the margin of victory. One waiver pickup. That's the difference between 1-4 and 0-5 for Hannah.
Elsewhere, Jeremy bounced back from his Week 4 loss to Darius with a clean 173.92 demolition of Megan, snapping her two-game win streak and confirming that last week's stumble was an anomaly, not a trend. Cody posted a season-high 159.10 against Nick and still lost, because of course he did. And Shannon, whose scoring range we called either "the most reliable roster or a ceiling that becomes a wall," hit the wall at 104.02 — the answer to that question is now officially resolved. Looking ahead to Week 6: Matt is still 5-0, Andrew is circling the drain at 2-3, and Cody needs to explain to himself why 159 points yields a fifth consecutive loss.
MATCHUP RECAPS
Rock Out W Your Brock Out (Hannah) def. Team 1 (Andrew), 113.16–101.40
Andrew scored 101.40 — 24% below the league average — and the culprit is brutally obvious: DJ Moore (0.00) and Roman Wilson (0.00) are both currently listed as out, and they both occupied starting lineup spots while contributing literally nothing. Those two empty slots are the entire margin of defeat; Hannah won by 11.76 and those two players combined for less than that above zero. Jahmyr Gibbs (37.70) and Josh Allen (31.50) did their jobs — the lineup around them was a construction site. Hannah, fresh off a 0-4 start and the receiving end of the season's biggest blowout, walked in and quietly won 113.16–101.40 behind Braelon Allen (18.60) and D'Andre Swift (17.30) grinding out enough to get it done. This is the upset of the week, and it's the kind of loss that doesn't just sting — it metastasizes. Andrew is now 2-3, on a two-game losing streak, and his points-for total (707.36) is third in the entire league. He is the fantasy equivalent of a sports car stuck in a school zone.
Team 2 (Nick) def. Knuck if you BUCKY boy (Cody), 166.12–159.10
Cody posted a season-high 159.10 points. Let that sink in. His best score of the year, through five weeks, and it was still not enough to get a win. Nick edged him 166.12–159.10, a margin of 7.02 points — the kind of game where you check your phone every two minutes in the fourth quarter and it still doesn't help. Puka Nacua went supernova for Nick with 37.70 points, and Brock Bowers added 23.00 and Garrett Wilson chipped in 23.40, giving Nick three players who all outscored Cody's best weapon, Bucky Irving (31.50). Cody now has Ja'Marr Chase (19.70), Justin Jefferson (18.80), Joe Burrow (24.60), and Sam LaPorta (19.80) — that is a real fantasy roster — sitting at 0-5. He is the most expensive car in the parking lot with five flat tires. Nick, meanwhile, moves to 3-2 on a two-game win streak with a 166-point performance that suggests the ceiling we kept questioning might actually exist.
Team 3 (Matt) def. Team 10 (Darius), 176.64–152.56
Matt scored 176.64 — 32% above the league average — and is somehow still finding new ways to win with different pieces each week. This time it was Jaylen Warren exploding for 36.80 and Christian Watson erupting for 32.30, with Jaxon Smith-Njigba (22.80) and Trey McBride (21.60) filling in the gaps like Matt's lineup has no concept of a weak spot. Darius showed up too — 152.56 is a legitimately strong score — but Matt is simply operating on a different frequency right now. The Darius Sleeping Giant narrative had real momentum after back-to-back wins, but Drake Maye's 39.46 and Malik Nabers' 29.10 weren't enough, partly because Darius left 51.48 points sitting on his bench. That bench management gap is real and it cost him here. Matt is 5-0 with a 166.74 average and the only team in this league that looks genuinely scary.
Amon A Boat (Jeremy) def. Kelce Me Outside (Megan), 173.92–144.36
Jeremy said "first loss? What first loss?" and dropped 173.92 on Megan to get right back on track. Isaiah Likely — picked up off waivers in Week 4 — put up 32.40 at tight end, and Parker Washington added 30.40 from a flex spot, with Derrick Henry (21.00) and James Cook (22.80) doing their usual work. The waiver wire dependency criticism from earlier in the season looks a lot more like roster management genius when your free agent TE goes for 32 points. Megan's 144.36 wasn't a disaster — Jayden Daniels (32.26) and Mike Evans (26.30) showed up — but CeeDee Lamb managed only 2.90 in what has become a recurring disappointment. Megan falls to 3-2, snapping her two-game win streak, and Jeremy's bounce-back was exactly as predicted. The Matt vs. Jeremy collision at the top of the standings is the matchup this league is quietly building toward.
Team 6 (Misty) def. Team 8 (Shannon), 121.12–104.02
Shannon hit 104.02 — 22% below the league average — and the ceiling question has been officially answered: it's a wall. George Pickens (28.00) and Tyler Warren (21.40) were the only players who showed up; David Montgomery contributed 1.10, the Raiders defense contributed 0.00, and Tee Higgins added a polite 4.20 before sitting back down. Misty, who has been a weekly consistency crisis with scores ranging from 92.60 to 149.28, picked the perfect week to be functional, with Davante Adams (22.10), Aaron Jones (18.70), Drake London (18.80), and JK Dobbins (15.40) all pulling weight. Misty's 3.70 bench points suggest she used every useful player she had — which makes this a W1 that is less about roster depth and more about perfectly timed chaos. Shannon falls to 3-2 on a one-game losing streak, and the tightest scoring range in the league (104.02 to 136.54) is looking less like reliability and more like fragility.
POWER RANKINGS
- Team 3 (Matt, 5-0) — Undefeated, highest average, new season high every other week. This is what $500 prize contention looks like.
- Amon A Boat (Jeremy, 4-1) — Bounced back immediately with 173.92. The waiver wire pickups are doing real work. Don't sleep.
- Kelce Me Outside (Megan, 3-2) — Still third in total points at 760.26 despite the loss. CeeDee Lamb needs to find himself.
- Team 2 (Nick, 3-2) — Two-game win streak, a 166-point week, and a Puka Nacua outburst that changes the ceiling conversation.
- Team 1 (Andrew, 2-3) — 707.36 total points, 2-3 record. The talent is real. The injury luck and lineup decisions are not.
- Team 8 (Shannon, 3-2) — The wall has been found. 104.02 in a week where the league averaged 141.24 is a red flag, not a blip.
- Team 10 (Darius, 2-3) — 51.48 bench points wasted against Matt. The roster is deep but the lineup decisions need work.
- Knuck if you BUCKY boy (Cody, 0-5) — Season-high 159.10 and still lost. At some point the schedule stops being an excuse.
- Team 6 (Misty, 2-3) — A win is a win, and 3.70 bench points means she's riding starters to the finish line every week.
- Rock Out W Your Brock Out (Hannah, 1-4) — 1-4 has never looked this good. The Andrew upset was real. Let's see if it's a trend.
LOOKING AHEAD
- ›
🏆 Marquee Matchup: Matt vs. Jeremy — the 5-0 juggernaut against the 4-1 bounce-back. Jeremy's 173.92 this week says he can score enough to compete; Matt's 166.74 average says it probably won't matter. This is the game of the season so far.
- ›
🔥 Streak Watch: Nick is on a two-game win streak averaging north of 150 points across both weeks. If Puka Nacua and Brock Bowers are both healthy and clicking simultaneously, Nick has a legitimate top-three ceiling — which is the first time that sentence has been possible to write.
- ›
⚠️ Must-Win: Andrew at 2-3 cannot drop to 2-4. With 707.36 total points and a 141.47 average, he is the most talented underachiever in the league, and the playoff math gets ugly fast. One more avoidable loss and the gap between his points and his record becomes a eulogy.
- ›
💀 Revenge Game: Megan has every reason to come out swinging after being handled by Jeremy 173.92–144.36. She still has the third-highest point total in the league and the second-highest single-game score (177.46). Her floor is genuinely dangerous — whoever draws her in Week 6 has been warned.
- ›
📊 League Trend: Bench point management is quietly separating the field. Darius left 51.48 on the bench in a loss. Andrew had 45.34 unused in a loss. Shannon left 31.40 and lost. Matt left 16.14 and won — again. The contenders are not just scoring more; they're wasting less. That gap compounds over the back half of the season.
