Brian drops Jenkins' first loss by 50 points — unbeaten no more.

WEEK IN REVIEW

The Consistency Machine finally hit a wall, and it hit it at 50 miles per hour. Jenkins entered Week 5 as the league's only undefeated team, a 4-0 juggernaut that had never dipped below 155 points in four weeks. Then Brian happened. The Caucasians erupted for 178.76 points — 31% above league average — while Jenkins posted a season-low 128.54, a catastrophic 42-point swing from last week's confidence level. CeeDee Lamb checked in at 2.90 points. Jalen Hurts contributed 13.00. Tony Pollard managed 5.20. The Consistency Machine didn't just lose — it malfunctioned. Brian's Jahmyr Gibbs dropped 37.70 and Bucky Irving added 31.50, the kind of RB1-RB2 detonation that makes a roster look genuinely terrifying. The 3-1 Collision Course everyone circled on the calendar? Brian resolved it decisively. Jenkins drops to 4-1. The prediction is closed. The unbeaten era is over.

Elsewhere, Week 5 was a bloodbath. James posted 190.72 points — the week's high score — behind Puka Nacua's 37.70 and Trey McBride's 26.10, continuing a winning streak that looks increasingly like a legitimate championship run. Chas demolished Tolby by 43 points, posting 188.62 to officially become the league's statistical monster with 851.68 total points on the season — more than anyone else by a significant margin, yet somehow sitting at 3-2. Devon crushed Andy 152.54-108.16, and the SLËËP3RÇĒLL's bench management crisis returned with full fury: 57.20 points left untouched while Jaylen Warren scored 36.80 and the rest of the starters sleepwalked. Cameron set a new season low at 65.14 — 52% below league average — in an 83.84-point blowout loss to Justin, the league's biggest margin this week and the season's biggest blowout period. The only genuine shock came from Bad Brakes: Blake defeated Ryan 116.84-107.96, a result that means Cameron is now the lone 0-5 team and Ryan is no longer a winner of anything involving current momentum.

Week 6 arrives with the standings genuinely scrambled. Brian and Jenkins are tied at 4-1 but headed in opposite directions. Five teams sit at 3-2 and any two of them could plausibly make the playoffs or miss entirely. Cameron is mathematically alive on paper and statistically dead in practice. Blake just got a pulse. And James, the four-time champion currently averaging 163.42 points per week, is doing that thing where he grins like he already knows how this ends.

MATCHUP RECAPS

Veteran Minimum (Chas) def. big nasty (Tolby), 188.62–145.28

Chas is quietly becoming the league's most confusing team — not because the roster is bad, but because the record should read 5-0 and somehow doesn't. Parker Washington led the way with 30.40 points, Jared Goff added 28.94, and Jacoby Brissett threw in a 25.28-point cameo off the bench. At 38% above league average, Chas put up the second-highest score of the week and now holds the league's highest point total at 851.68 — nearly 80 points more than the next team. Tolby, meanwhile, was done in not by a bad roster but by a genuinely great one: Jayden Daniels contributed 32.26 and Malik Nabers dropped 29.10, but the rest of the lineup buckled. The commissioner drops to 2-3 after last week's upset high, and the Championship Curse, briefly exorcised by the Devon upset, appears to have simply relocated rather than fled.

Bad Brakes (Blake) def. tRyan to Contend (Ryan), 116.84–107.96

File this under the category nobody ordered: Blake's first win in five weeks, and Ryan's second consecutive loss after a two-game streak that had the league briefly worried he was for real. Blake's 116.84 was still 17% below league average, which tells you everything you need to know about the quality of football on display here. Joe Burrow delivered 24.60 and C.J. Stroud chipped in 20.94, but the real story is Ryan's implosion: Drake Maye went off for 39.46 points, which is a spectacular number that completely failed to matter because Jeremiyah Love managed 2.20, Romeo Doubs checked in at 2.60, Harold Fannin contributed 1.90, and Mike Washington added 2.00. Ryan left 27.50 on the bench, the lightest bench figure in the league this week, meaning he simply started the wrong players — not that he had better ones waiting. Blake climbs to 1-4. Ryan falls to 2-3. Neither team is good. At least Blake gets to enjoy it for a week.

The Caucasians (Brian) def. Chasing Championships (Jenkins), 178.76–128.54

This was the most anticipated matchup of the week and it wasn't close for a single quarter. Brian posted a season-high 178.76 — the prediction resolved — while Jenkins posted a season-low 128.54, producing a 50.22-point blowout that ended the unbeaten streak and answered every lingering question about whether Jenkins had actually been tested. The answer was no. Jahmyr Gibbs (37.70) and Bucky Irving (31.50) formed the most devastating RB tandem of the week, and Matthew Stafford's 27.32 off the bench confirmed that Brian's depth is genuine and not decorative. Jenkins' core simply didn't show up: CeeDee Lamb scored 2.90, Jalen Hurts scored 13.00, Tony Pollard scored 5.20. Brian won the waiver claim for Tyler Higbee over Jenkins at $7 versus $0 — Higbee scored 15.80 for Brian in this exact matchup, against Jenkins specifically, which is the kind of small indignity that compounds a blowout. Brian sits alone atop the standings at 4-1 with the league's most convincing résumé. The Consistency Machine storyline doesn't end here, but it definitely gets edited.

Schrack Daddy (James) def. Big Bauls on the Table (Paul Todd), 190.72–167.18

James put up 190.72 points — the week's high score — and somehow it wasn't an absolute runaway. Paul Todd went 22% above league average with 167.18, his season high, and still lost by 23 points. That is what James is doing right now. Puka Nacua exploded for 37.70, James Cook contributed 22.80, Trey McBride added 26.10, and Davante Adams chipped in 22.10, which means James had four players above 22 points in a single lineup. The four-time champion is averaging 163.42 points per week and has won back-to-back by comfortable margins. Paul Todd falls to 3-2 on a two-game losing streak — the Perennially-Almost Curse on schedule and punctual — and David Montgomery's 1.10 points in yet another week where starters underperformed is becoming a Paul Todd signature. Josh Allen (30.50), George Pickens (28.00), and Mike Evans (26.30) all hit, but this week, that wasn't enough.

Bitch Pigeons (Justin) def. Back in the Goodell Days (Cameron), 148.98–65.14

The season's biggest blowout: 83.84 points, a margin so wide it constitutes a different sport. Cameron scored 65.14 points — 52% below league average — and posted a new season low that replaced the previous season low Cameron also held. Tyler Warren delivered 24.90 for Cameron, which was more than a third of the team's entire output, and the rest of the roster offered almost nothing. Brian Thomas and Roman Wilson both scored 0.00. Roman Wilson is currently listed out with an injury. Cameron falls to 0-5 and the season arc closes: the rebuild ran out of runway before it got off the ground. Justin, meanwhile, finally found the right week to deploy some depth: Isaiah Likely went for 37.90, Jordan Love added 25.28, and Sam LaPorta contributed 22.30. DeVonta Smith is listed out with a hamstring injury and scored 0.00 in the starting lineup, but with Cameron on the other side of the field, it didn't matter even slightly. Justin moves to 2-3 with a winning streak and some structural breathing room.

So Girthy (Devon) def. SLËËP3RÇËLL (Andy), 152.54–108.16

Devon is 3-2 and winning games, but the Girthmaster's lineup construction issues haven't vanished — they've just been eclipsed by Andy's being worse. Christian Watson went off for 32.30 and Brock Bowers added 27.00, giving Devon two genuine stars while the rest of the lineup contributed solidly enough. Andy, on the other hand, put up 108.16 with 57.20 bench points unused, meaning the SLËËP3RÇËLL scored less than half its available points through sheer lineup mismanagement. Jaylen Warren posted 36.80 as a starter — a genuine performance — but RJ Harvey delivered 0.70, Rome Odunze contributed 5.00, and Colston Loveland added 4.90, turning what should have been a competitive output into a 44-point blowout. Andy drops to 3-2 on a one-game losing streak. The McMillan-or-bust formula from last week's upset is exposed: without a detonation, the floor is this bad. Devon climbs back to .500 territory and quietly sits in fifth place.

POWER RANKINGS

  1. The Caucasians (Brian, 4-1) — Season-high 178.76 ends the unbeaten Jenkins era; two-game streak, deepest RB room in the league, nobody topping this right now.
  2. Veteran Minimum (Chas, 3-2) — League-leading 851.68 total points and the week's second-highest score; the record is wrong and everyone knows it.
  3. Schrack Daddy (James, 3-2) — Two-game winning streak, 190.72 this week, four scorers above 22 points; the four-time champ is warming up.
  4. Chasing Championships (Jenkins, 4-1) — Season-low 128.54 snaps unbeaten run in ugly fashion; still 4-1, but CeeDee Lamb at 2.90 demands accountability.
  5. So Girthy (Devon, 3-2) — Three wins now, Watson and Bowers forming dangerous core; lineup floor still visible but trending in the right direction.
  6. Big Bauls on the Table (Paul Todd, 3-2) — Season-high 167.18 and still lost; two-game skid with the Perennially-Almost Curse fully operational.
  7. Bitch Pigeons (Justin, 2-3) — 83-point blowout win masks real issues; Prague operation stabilized for now, but 97.12 bench points left untouched again.
  8. SLËËP3RÇËLL (Andy, 3-2) — 57.20 bench points unused in a 44-point loss exposes a recurring structural problem; 3-2 record now in genuine danger.
  9. tRyan to Contend (Ryan, 2-3) — Drake Maye's 39.46 went nowhere in a loss to Blake; supporting cast is not a supporting cast.
  10. big nasty (Tolby, 2-3) — Jayden Daniels 32.26 and Nabers 29.10 weren't enough against Chas's freight train; commissioner needs to find some wins fast.
  11. Bad Brakes (Blake, 1-4) — First win of the season, but 116.84 against a team that scored 107 is not a foundation, it's a speed bump.
  12. Back in the Goodell Days (Cameron, 0-5) — 65.14. Season low. 52% below league average. The middle school teacher is running out of weeks.

LOOKING AHEAD

  • ›

Marquee Matchup: Jenkins (4-1) needs an immediate response after the 50-point humiliation — whoever they draw gets a wounded, dangerous team with something to prove, which is either a great story or a bloodbath depending on which Jenkins shows up.

  • ›

Streak Watch: James is on a two-game winning streak averaging north of 190 points across both weeks, and Chas has now won back-to-back while posting the league's two highest point totals of the past fortnight. If those two ever play each other before the playoffs, set your calendar.

  • ›

Must-Win: Andy at 3-2 with 57 bench points unused this week is looking at a real cliff edge — another loss drops SLËËP3RÇËLL to 3-3, and the analytical rebuild starts feeling less like a system and more like a slide.

  • ›

Revenge Game: Paul Todd has now lost two straight — including a season-high 167.18 that still wasn't enough — and the Perennially-Almost Curse is fully active. Week 6 is the moment to prove that score was a floor, not a ceiling.

  • ›

League Trend: Five teams sit at 3-2, separated by 118 points of total score from top to bottom. The standings are tight enough that one blowout loss reshuffles the entire playoff picture. Week 6 is where the middle class either consolidates or collapses — and given this league's track record, expect blood.
