chass drops 195.94 to end Young Shea's perfect season.

WEEK IN REVIEW

The defining story of Week 5 was supposed to be Young Shea vs. Mother Kelly — the undefeated record vs. the league's best talent. Instead, chass walked into the room, detonated a 195.94-point nuclear device, and made the whole debate irrelevant. Puka Nacua (37.70), Christian Watson (32.30), and Malik Nabers (29.10) operating simultaneously is not fantasy football, it's a hate crime. Young Shea put up a genuinely excellent 161.30 — 27% above league average — and still lost by 34.64 points. The first loss was always going to hurt. Nobody expected it to feel like this. Meanwhile, the "marquee matchup" everyone was watching resolved itself quietly and brutally: Mother Kelly, 703.62 total points, best scoring team in the league, lost to 1-4 JesusJesse by 17.06. JesusJesse — the team that was mathematically eliminated from playoff contention — showed up and took Mother Kelly's lunch money in broad daylight. Joe Burrow dropped 26.60, Tyler Warren added 21.40, and suddenly the biggest upset of the season belongs to the team with the worst record. Mother Kelly is now 2-3 with 703.62 total points. That is a statistical catastrophe.

The secondary storylines were equally chaotic. andie, fresh off three straight losses and a full psychological collapse, erupted for 167.56 points — 32% above league average — with Jayden Daniels (35.26) and Jahmyr Gibbs (40.70) finally performing like the weapons they're supposed to be. The comeback is real, the relief is palpable, and the curry smell on North Campus is probably celebratory at this point. Shauners handled Shea's Boyfriend 115.96–92.04 to push to 4-1, which we will discuss at length below. And HEEEEEEEEEEEEE beat Stackhouse2026 134.18–122.10, which is the least surprising sentence written this season, because Stackhouse2026 loses every week and the only question is by how much.

Week 6 arrives with the standings reshuffled and the narrative completely rewritten. Young Shea is still the top seed but has tasted defeat. Mother Kelly is bleeding out in sixth place with the best point total in the league. chass is 3-2 and playing the best football in the league right now with a three-game winning streak. And andie is suddenly alive again at 2-3. The second half of the fantasy season has a completely different cast of characters than anyone expected five weeks ago.

MATCHUP RECAPS

Ed West's Best (chass) def. Young Shea, 195.94–161.30

chass posted the highest single-game score in league history this season — 54% above league average — and it wasn't a fluke, it was a coordinated assault. Puka Nacua (37.70), Christian Watson (32.30), Malik Nabers (29.10), and Jared Goff (28.94) all went off simultaneously, which is statistically improbable and personally offensive to everyone who drafted against them. Young Shea's 161.30 was legitimately excellent — Jaylen Warren dropped 39.80 out of nowhere and James Cook added 25.80 — and it still wasn't enough by 34.64 points. T.J. Hockenson going for 1.70 points with 38.82 points rotting on the bench is the only knock on Young Shea's management, and even fixing that probably doesn't change the result. chass is now 3-2 with a three-game winning streak and has officially graduated from "quietly assembling contender narrative" to "actual contender." Young Shea drops to 4-1 but remains the top seed — the first loss always stings most, and this one had fangs.

SCAREDY CATS (JesusJesse) def. Team 1 (Mother Kelly), 131.00–113.94 [UPSET]

The biggest upset of the season belongs to the team with the worst record. JesusJesse, sitting at 1-4 with nothing to lose and absolutely no playoff pressure remaining, walked into Mother Kelly's house and robbed it clean. Joe Burrow (26.60), Tyler Warren (21.40), and Davante Adams (22.10) formed an unlikely triumvirate of destruction, while RJ Harvey's 0.70 points and the Washington Commanders DEF posting 3.00 remind us that even a winning lineup contains rot. Mother Kelly countered with Jaxon Smith-Njigba (22.80) and C.J. Stroud (20.94) — a waiver pickup that delivered — but Will Shipley (8.30) and Cam Skattebo (7.10) in the backfield combined for 15.40 points, which is not a winning RB situation against a desperate opponent. At 703.62 total points and a 2-3 record, Mother Kelly has now constructed the most talent-rich disaster in this league's recent memory. Two consecutive losses to teams with a combined record of 3-7. The best-roster claim is no longer in jeopardy — it has been formally revoked until further notice.

Team 3 (andie) def. Team 7 (justincash), 167.56–144.74

andie is back. Jahmyr Gibbs (40.70) finally remembered he's supposed to be elite, Jayden Daniels (35.26) played like a franchise quarterback rather than a scheduling inconvenience, and George Pickens (28.00) showed up to make everyone forget the previous three weeks ever happened. The 167.56 output — 32% above league average — snaps a three-game losing streak and drags andie back to 2-3 with genuine playoff momentum. andie also added the Cleveland Browns DEF off waivers this week, and they delivered 15.00 points in a winning effort, which is the kind of small decision that separates managers in close weeks. justincash's 144.74 was above average but irrelevant — Bucky Irving (34.50) was spectacular, Spencer Shrader kicked for 21.00, and the Dallas Cowboys DEF still posted -4.00 because that's what happens when you roster the Cowboys defense in 2026. justincash is now 2-3 with a three-game losing streak and the defending champion title becoming an increasingly historical artifact.

Team 6 (Shauners) def. Team 4 (Shea's Boyfriend), 115.96–92.04

Owen — who would never order a whole pizza for himself but apparently will absolutely fold under pressure — posted the lowest score of the week at 92.04, a 28% decline from league average in a matchup he needed to win. Carnell Tate (1.60), Jaylen Waddle (4.80), and Chase Brown (7.00) are not an acceptable receiving and backfield combination, and 92.40 points left decomposing on the bench while the active lineup collapsed is the kind of management choice that gets read aloud at the playoff bubble. George Kittle (7.40) and Ashton Jeanty (10.70) underperformed, and the explosive McMillan-Bijan pairing that defined Week 4 simply didn't show up — Bijan Robinson managed 15.80 and McMillan was nowhere in the lineup's highlights. Shauners, meanwhile, got Parker Washington's 30.40 and Garrett Wilson's 23.40 to carry a lineup that included CeeDee Lamb posting 2.90 points, David Montgomery contributing 1.10, and the kicker hitting 2.00. Shauners won by 23.92 points despite CeeDee Lamb being functionally invisible. At 4-1, Shauners is a legitimate co-leader of this league and the volatility narrative is permanently buried.

Team 8 (HEEEEEEEEEEEEE) def. Stackhouse (Stackhouse2026), 134.18–122.10

Josh Allen (37.50) doing Josh Allen things carried HEEEEEEEEEEEEE to a 134.18 showing — right around league average for this week, but sufficient against an opponent that cannot win regardless of circumstances. The Green Bay Packers DEF delivered 21.00 points, which is the kind of unexpected DEF performance that makes the difference in a 12-point margin. Stackhouse2026 actually competed here — Aaron Rodgers (24.00) was a legitimate waiver pickup that delivered, Mike Evans (26.30) was the team's best skill-position output, and Aaron Jones (21.70) contributed meaningfully. But the Rams DEF posting -2.00, Tee Higgins going for 4.20, and Jeremiyah Love contributing 2.20 points dragged a viable lineup into the defeat column. Stackhouse2026 is now 1-4 with three straight losses, and the question is no longer whether the management crisis is real — it's whether there's enough season left for any correction to matter.

POWER RANKINGS

  1. Young Shea (4-1, 695.32 PF) — First loss was a historic 195.94-point freight train, not a weakness. Still the best record and top seed.

  2. Shauners (4-1, 627.90 PF) — Co-leader at 4-1 despite CeeDee Lamb's 2.90 and Parker Washington carrying the week. Depth is the real flex.

  3. chass (3-2, 663.00 PF) — Three-game winning streak, league-high weekly score (195.94), and Puka Nacua/Nabers/Watson firing together. This is the hottest team in the league right now.

  4. Shea's Boyfriend (3-2, 648.90 PF) — 92.40 bench points wasted while active lineup cratered to 92.04. Still 3-2, but the Week 4 explosion looks more like an outlier after this.

  5. HEEEEEEEEEEEEE (3-2, 592.34 PF) — Josh Allen (37.50) bailed out a lineup that needed bailing. Two-game win streak intact, ceiling questions remain unresolved.

  6. andie (2-3, 656.86 PF) — Gibbs (40.70) and Daniels (35.26) finally showed up simultaneously. One big week doesn't erase three losses, but 2-3 with 656.86 total points means the talent was always real.

  7. Mother Kelly (2-3, 703.62 PF) — League-high scoring team. Sixth place. Lost to a 1-4 team. There is no rational explanation and we've stopped looking for one.

  8. justincash (2-3, 593.24 PF) — Three straight losses, Cowboys DEF at -4.00, defending champ label now purely ceremonial. Bucky Irving (34.50) deserves better teammates.

  9. Stackhouse2026 (1-4, 605.78 PF) — Rodgers delivered, Evans delivered, Rams DEF and Tee Higgins did not. The pattern of one hand giving and the other taking does not stop.

  10. JesusJesse (1-4, 570.36 PF) — Beat Mother Kelly by 17 points in the league's biggest upset. Mathematically out of playoffs. Emotionally complicated. RJ Harvey (0.70) remains on the roster and that's fine.

LOOKING AHEAD

  • ›

🏆 Marquee Matchup — chass vs. Shauners: Two of the league's hottest teams, both 4-1 effective records in terms of momentum, going head to head. chass just posted 195.94 and has three straight wins. Shauners is 4-1 and beat Shea's Boyfriend with CeeDee Lamb going for 2.90. One of these streaks ends next week. Schedule the conflict now.

  • ›

📈 Streak Watch — chass (W3) and Shauners (W3): Both riding three-game winning streaks into a direct collision. Simultaneously, andie's single-week bounce (W1) needs a second straight win to become a narrative rather than a reprieve. If andie goes W2 and either chass or Shauners drops, the playoff picture reshuffles completely.

  • ›

⚠️ Must-Win — Mother Kelly: At 2-3 with 703.62 total points, another loss makes the playoff math genuinely uncomfortable. The best-scoring team in the league cannot afford to become the most talented 2-4 team in league history. Whatever the Week 6 matchup is, treat it like a playoff game.

  • ›

🔁 Revenge Game — Young Shea: First loss of the season, dropped at home (statistically speaking) by 34.64 points to a team they should have beaten on paper. Young Shea's 695.32 total points is still elite. The response to the first loss reveals more about a team's character than any winning streak. Who's on the schedule? Prepare accordingly.

  • ›

📊 League Trend — The Bench Crisis Is Structural: Shea's Boyfriend left 92.40 points on the bench in a 92.04-point performance. chass left 60.02 on the bench while winning with 195.94. HEEEEEEEEEEEEE had 55.10 bench points. The league is collectively leaving winning margins unused every single week, and in a league this tight — where the closest game this season was decided by 0.56 points — the manager who actually starts the right lineup will have a decisive edge by playoff time.
