Joe Flacco — Joe Flacco, a man who has been retired more times than most people have changed their oil — was the team's leading scorer at 16.20 points. Darius Slayton scored 0.00. Marvin Mims scored 0.70. The entire starting lineup collectively failed to match what LJEra8's Lamar Jackson did alone (33.36). BaskinDobbins08 won that blowout by 80.44 points, the largest margin of the week, but let's be honest — nobody gets credit for beating a team that just turned itself in at the police station.

LJEra8's 8 Ball continued its dynasty-tier dominance, rolling into Week 1 at 13-1 historically and dropping 142.78 points on nipes18's Unsuccessful Tank — 34% above league average. Lamar Jackson (33.36) and Derrick Henry (28.70) are sharing a backfield in Baltimore and apparently also sharing this fantasy roster like they're trying to run the table together. Meanwhile, nipes18 started the week with A.J. Brown (1.30 points) and Ja'Marr Chase (3.60 points), two of the most expensive roster assets in any fantasy league, both of whom collectively produced less than a Saquon Barkley carry. Week 2 can't come fast enough.

SenpaiWipp's Thicc Boys FC came in at 10-4 historically and proved Week 1 was no fluke, posting 144.42 points — 35% above league average — behind Emeka Egbuka's 21.60-point explosion and a dual-QB setup with Caleb Williams (26.20) and Michael Penix (26.02) that's starting to look dangerously efficient. jayz21's Weed is Life scored 111.04 points, which is actually a reasonable fantasy total, and Jalen Hurts contributed 24.28 — but the real story is that Josh Allen was sitting in jayz21's flex QB slot scoring 42.76 points. 42.76. That's the single highest individual player score of the week in this entire league, and it came from a bench-warmer situation. jayz21 now moves to 7-8 and the playoff picture is getting complicated. Getting 42 points from Josh Allen while losing should be some kind of criminal offense.

8 Ball (LJEra8) def. The Unsuccessful Tank (nipes18), 142.78–81.74

LJEra8 is the class of this league at 13-1 heading into 2025, and Week 1 was a reminder of why. The 8 Ball dropped 142.78 points — 34% above league average — while nipes18's Unsuccessful Tank limped to 81.74, a full 23% below average. Lamar Jackson (33.36) and Derrick Henry (28.70) are a one-two punch that should be illegal in a competitive league. For nipes18, the performance was a full roster malfunction: Ja'Marr Chase managed 3.60 points, A.J. Brown contributed 1.30, and Isiah Pacheco scraped together 3.80. The truly brutal detail is that nipes18 left 82.40 points on the bench — more than their entire starting lineup scored. The "Unsuccessful Tank" name is doing some heavy lifting this week.

Rizzler on the Roof (leftsidestroker) def. Phamtom Menance (PhamNewton), 120.00–104.30

The closest game of the week came down to a 15.70-point margin, which in fantasy terms is one big Baker Mayfield drive. leftsidestroker's Rizzler on the Roof moved to 8-6 behind Mayfield's 28.58-point performance and Garrett Wilson's 19.00 points — two players who combined for nearly 40% of the team's total score. PhamNewton's Phamtom Menance lost despite getting solid contributions from Christian McCaffrey (18.70) and Keenan Allen (16.30), but 97.84 points left on the bench is an absolutely catastrophic lineup decision in a game decided by 15.70. Bryce Young starting at QB for 12.16 points while Bo Nix sat on the bench for 10.84 is a wash, but somewhere in that 97.84 points of bench production was a win. Boutte Cheeks (BaskinDobbins08) def. Bapple.co (CheekClapper420), 113.52–33.08

The most lopsided game in Week 1 history for this league: an 80.44-point margin that is equal parts impressive for BaskinDobbins08 and genuinely harrowing for CheekClapper420. Justin Fields (31.52) and Zay Flowers (24.60) carried the Boutte Cheeks to a comfortable win, though the 5-9 historical record suggests BaskinDobbins08 desperately needed this one. CheekClapper420's Bapple.co, now 2-12 all-time, scored 33.08 points — 69% below league average — and the most sobering detail is that Joe Flacco (16.20 pts) outscored the rest of the starting lineup combined. Cam Ward went for 2.48. Darius Slayton went for 0.00. Marvin Mims went for 0.70. The bench had 37.90 points sitting unused, which means the actual players available to CheekClapper420 could have doubled the team's output and still finished last. This is a cry for help dressed up in fantasy football clothing.

Call Me Dragon (ngurgel) def. Championship Kupp (rcamp22), 91.38–66.22

ngurgel's Call Me Dragon scraped out a 25.16-point win over rcamp22's Championship Kupp, but neither team should be putting this game on a highlight reel. ngurgel scored 91.38 points — 14% below league average — with CeeDee Lamb (14.50), Aaron Jones (14.20), and Drake Maye (18.28) doing most of the work while the rest of the roster delivered mediocrity. rcamp22's Championship Kupp came in at 1-13 all-time and somehow managed to make that record look accurate, posting 66.22 points including two roster spots listed as "0 (FA)" — meaning rcamp22 literally had empty starting lineup slots. Patrick Mahomes put up 28.02 points in a losing effort, which means everything around him produced a combined 38.20 points. rcamp22 now sits 1-14 all-time with 906.66 points for on the season. The "Championship Kupp" name remains the cruelest joke in this league.

POWER RANKINGS

1. 8 Ball (LJEra8, 13-1) — The runaway favorite opened with a 34%-above-average performance. Lamar plus Derrick Henry in the same backfield is an unfair cheat code.

2. Thicc Boys FC (SenpaiWipp, 10-4) — 2,028.14 points for all-time, the most of any team in this league, and they opened 2025 with 144.42. The dual-QB stack is clicking dangerously well.

3. Justin Tugger (alleged) (wcwalls, 8-6) — League-high 153.34 in Week 1 with 114 points left on the bench. If wcwalls ever figures out lineup management, this league is over.

4. Stroud Boys (KonkeyDonger, 11-3) — Historic record still demands respect at 11-3, and 117.46 isn't a bad score. But losing to a team that had over 100 bench points available is a rough way to open.

5. Rizzler on the Roof (leftsidestroker, 8-6) — Baker Mayfield's 28.58 was the engine. Winning the closest game of the week on the right side of 15.70 points is always a good sign.

6. Weed is Life (jayz21, 7-7) — Put up 111.04 with Josh Allen — the week's highest individual scorer at 42.76 — wasting away in the flex QB slot. Fix the lineup and this team is dangerous.

7. Phamtom Menance (PhamNewton, 7-7) — Left 97.84 on the bench in a 15.70-point loss. The roster clearly has talent; the lineup decisions are where this season lives or dies.

8. Call Me Dragon (ngurgel, 8-6) — Eked out a win against the weakest opponent possible while scoring 14% below average. Three-way 8-6 logjam with leftsidestroker and wcwalls makes every game feel like a playoff game.

9. Boutte Cheeks (BaskinDobbins08, 5-9) — Justin Fields (31.52) and Zay Flowers (24.60) provided some hope. At 5-9, hope is about all that's left, but at least they're spending it efficiently.

10. The Unsuccessful Tank (nipes18, 4-10) — Ja'Marr Chase (3.60) and A.J. Brown (1.30) in the same week is a two-star disaster. The bench outscored the lineup. The name continues to be accurate.

11. Bapple.co (CheekClapper420, 2-12) — 33.08 points. Joe Flacco was the best player on this roster. Darius Slayton scored zero. There's nowhere to go but up, though the floor appears to have a basement.

12. Championship Kupp (rcamp22, 1-14) — Two empty lineup slots. Patrick Mahomes losing. 66.22 points total. The name "Championship Kupp" is doing the heavy lifting of irony all on its own.
